Having technical Difficulties

I am down in the business center sending this message out. Zac's laptop has crashed! I can open it up to windows and then it just freezes. I am very disappointed because there are so many pictures I want to post of Molly. It has been awhile since my last post, we have been having alot of downtime here. Many of our day trips have been cancelled because of the rain. It snowed here last evening. We are experimenting with the local cuisine and Molly just loves table food. She can feed herself. She does So Big and claps her hands. Very happy and smart. She watches everything and everyone around her and Zac just cracks her up. The nights have been rough, she has developed a cough and is very congested. I will be taking her to a western doctor when we get to Guangzhou. This afternoon is Saturday. We will be leaving for Guangzhou on Monday. Should have much better weather there. Avg high is in the 70's. Most say that is where the very best shopping is, so I have been conservative with my spending here and in Beijing. We had a tour of the countryside today. Very beautiful. When we got to the village everyone came out to watch us. The villagers all smiled and wanted to touch the babies. We toured a village home, it was very large with many courtyards but cold and very few personal items. I will have to post pictures when I get home. The village was quite an experience and worth the 1 1/2 hour bus ride to get there.

We took a trip to the Walmart the other day. Zac horded all the chips and coke. The visit was very interesting. It was packed with people and they play music very loud. They are a grocer as well and it was neat looking at all the seafood and meat for sale. Many things I had no idea what they were. They had barrels of live turtles to cook. We found fried chicken in the deli department right nexr to the fried pigeon with the heads still attached. It is very interesting how many stores are set up for check out. When you are interested in buying an item, you give it to the salesperson who gives you a receipt. You then take the receipt to the cashiers section and pay for it. The receipt is stamped and then you take it back to the salesperson and she gives you your item. When you are leaving the store, you hand the item and receipt to the checkout and she bags the item. This must be done for each item you purchase. Not a quick process!

Well, that is all for today, I must get back to the room and releave Zac of his babysitting duties. Although we are tired, we are still having a very good time and looking forward to warmer weather. Molly is just wonderful, such a pleasure and smart as a whip. Her favorite activity is eating and clapping her hands. Still gives me a fight for nap time or bed time, changing her diapers, or bathing, but everyday is an improvement. I hope this post hits, everything is in Chinese and I hope I remember which keys to press.
